Inconvenient compared to other models,
When I bought this, I was trying to get around paying for expensive replacement parts for another Panasonic shaver that I owned. I did not realize and/or notice how this differed.
The charger is not on a wire. The entire unit plugs in, then you mount the shaver vertically upon it. Problem is that it is so bulky that it covers both plugs on an outlet pair, meaning that nothing else can be plugged in there. To add insult to injury, the charger requires 15 hours (!) to recharge the shaver. Realistically, you are probably going to tie up those two plugs for 24 hours. A tall order for most people’s bathrooms, I’d say.
Don’t think that you can work around those timing issues easily, either. The shaver has no indicator lights to let you know its charge status. No warning; it just runs out of juice. And there is no quick charge feature, like other models. You must plug it in and walk away. Hopefully, you managed to finish your shave before that happened.
It is also a low-power unit, and does not oscillate as fast as others. Its two blade sets are not separated by a slotted bar like others, either. However, this does allow tighter edging around facial hair – the only thing that I liked about it.
When the seller (an Amazon partner-merchant) refused to take back a used unit, I exercised the manufacturer’s 30-day money-Back policy, and returned it directly to Panasonic for a refund. I am now waiting through the two months it is supposed to take to get a check. Meanwhile, I bought the head and blades for my older unit, and life is simple again.

|ES-RW30,
I have had many Panasonic razors and have always loved them. My favorite is the ES3041. This ES-RW30 is not very good. It takes a number of passes to get a close shave 4 to 5 times. The trimmer blade is bulky and my nose gets in the way when the I am shaving my upper lip ( I know, big nose!) I guess Panasonic has discontinued the ES3041 as I am unable to find one. The secret is the one head with a single foil head.
